Left Handers in airsoft

All you need to do is configure your kit right (or left ha ha) and understand how best to take advantage of your unique “Talent”.

·         Learn to look at every corner and think “is that a left-handed angle or right-handed” before you think of anything else.  A left-hander on his own with the angle of a stairway or hallway to his advantage can hold back a large number of the opposition.

Trust me.

·         Mix up your team with a mixture of left-handers and right-handers.  That way you get both angles covered.

·         Avoid ambidextrous guns.  I know this seems weird advice, but it’s like learning to drive.  If you learn in an automatic car that’s all you can ever drive, if you learn in a manual then you can drive both.  If you learn to use guns that are specifically for right-handers, then you can use almost anything.

·         Try stuff out.  Despite my best efforts, some stuff just doesn’t work for me.  Try it on, move it about, test it to destruction.  If it doesn’t seem to work with your left-friendly rig, get rid of it.  For me it has to be three-point slings, bloody hate em.

I have seen left-handers become great assets to a team, they can hold corners and areas that right-handers would lose the advantage on, and use exactly the same kit as their team mates.  Learn to use your skill to its advantage and you too can become an elite south-paw airsofter!
