FCS Membership Info

Why do I need membership?

The Violent Crime Reduction Act restricts the sale, import, and manufacture of realistic imitation firearms. However, airsoft skirmishers have been granted an exemption to this ban, on the condition that they can provide proof of their skirmisher status. The easiest way to do this is with membership to a legitimate airsoft site.

Can I still play at sites without a membership?

Of course! As mentioned, the VCRA only bans the sale, import, and manufacture of RIFs. Accessories, tactical gear, and spare parts can also be purchased without a membership.

Why an FCS membership?

Firefight Combat Simulations ltd is a UKARA-registered site, with public liability insurance up to £1 million. FCS maintains a close relationship with the Metropolitan Police and HM Customs and Revenue, and frequently communicates with airsoft retailers and private sellers, validating players’ skirmisher status when issues arise. Also, being a UKARA registered site means that player details can be uploaded onto the central UKARA database, which can be accessed by the authorities and UKARA retailers (essentially fast-tracking RIF purchases).

Are there any financial perks to being registered as an FCS member?
